de Thuin launched the Women’s Forum for the Economy and
Society in 2005 in Deauville, France: a great success since three
years. Her determination to settle a Women’s Forum in Asia
has brought her to China twenty times in the past three years,
relentlessly.
Inspired by the
hundred’s of outstanding women she met during her trips, she
discovered Chinese women extremely committed to the emergence of a new
Chinese civil society, open to the outside environment and integrated
in the global world. The way the Women’s Forum Asia has been
welcomed since its inception tends to prove that this idea meets the
needs for sharing and reciprocal listening, and beyond that, for
exchanging points of view on how to build together a sustainable world
for the future generation.
